Dreams and Interpretations

Have you ever been remembered your dream last night? They say when you are dreaming, your eyes are moving side by side, just like scanning an images. Well, let me share my dreams last night which I think more meaningful than my previous dreams. I went to a camp in a school, some sort of elementary school. I met new bunch of unfamiliar faces and from there, I met a guy whom I’m not familiar with. I barely remember his face anymore but one thing is for sure, his handsome with white complexion. From there, I think I fell in love with him. But at the last day of the camp, we had some sort of counseling. There are some who are crying including me, reflecting from the speaker’s sharings. I don’t remember my emotion when I cried. I’m not pretty sure whether it’s because I’m sad/im going to miss them (especially my crush), or it’s the feeling of pleasure that I'd met them. I take a last glance to the mysterious guy . After the sharings, they're all gone. They left us at school with whom I don’t know whose the girl I’m with, and with that, another scene came in. I was in a seashore and it was kind of people were struggling, and kind of weird because people are waiting for the fish to fly in from the sea, they make the fishes as their pets. I also grab one but it sticked on my finger, So I tried to get it off my finger because the pain is killing me, when it flew it turned back on my finger then I tried to throw it again and I ran fast to escape this. And then, I found myself flying and almost fell. I think im a crow and I always trying to attempt to fly high but I can’t, I almost fell and always lost my balance. I passed the abandoned house (antique house).From the opened window; I saw that there were only one round table, cups and spoiled breads and fruits inside. I was afraid and I was finding my way to escape this scene again. Finally, I saw human beings, a couple of lovers and a group of old people surrounding them. I think they are talking about the wedding. I interrupted them and then they saw me, and the lovers chased me and I was finding my way to escape them until we went to a Stock room outside their house. An old woman came in and she said to the couple that nothing to worry about because she remembered me, that I’m her friend when she was young and then I just found myself in an old woman, smiling in contentment. They say the best interpreter of one’s dream was the dreamer him/herself. Base on my interpretation, I was struggling in reality. About the guy, I think it represents my ideal guy in the future because it is a fact that I like the Korean type of a man. And in the part that they or he was gone, is maybe of my perception that we cannot easily find our ideal guy. But they say that stranger represents that part of ourselves which we do not yet know. There may be a feeling of awe or of conflict with which we need to deal before we can progress. Another scene in the seashore, I’m trying to escape the fish that sticked on my finger, I find it detrimental. According to the book entitled,” 10,000 Dreams Explained” by Pamela Ball, Dreaming of fish connects with the emotional side of ourselves, but more our ability to be wise without being strategic. We can often simply respond instinctively to what is going on, without needing to analyse it. Another is, the Collective Unconscious as Jung has called it—that part of life everyone shares, the common experience, awareness and knowledge which we all have – is becoming available to us. Fish also signify temporal and spiritual power. In my dream, I mentioned several escapes. Base on the same book, when we dream of escape, we are trying to move beyond—or to avoid—difficult feelings. We may be trying to run away from responsibility or from duty. It is also possible that anxiety or past trauma puts us in a position where we are unable to do anything other than try to escape from the situation itself. Escape also represents our own need for spiritual freedom. After the fish, I became a crow who always lost its balance which is according to ball, when we dream of trying to maintain our balance or of being balanced in a difficult position, we are searching for equilibrium. Dreaming of a crow can have two meanings. Traditionally, the crow warns of death but may also represent wisdom and deviousness. And I was trying to escape the antique house because I’m afraid. In reality, I am afraid to be alone, I don’t like abandoned places. I don’t want to be left. I’m afraid losing my loved ones.I hate goodbyes that’s why I’m finding my way searching for people whom I then found but don’t have an idea whom they are. They’re old and I think I’m traveling in the future where I saw only a group of old people and a young couple. Ball said, that a group of old people often appears in dreams. Usually this signifies the traditions and wisdom of the past – things sacred to the tribe or family. Older people usually stand for our parents even though the dream figures may bear no relationship to them. And I saw myself in an old woman which I think I need to accept the fact that all of us grew old. Because ever since, I don’t want to grow old because when I’m getting old, my parents and loved ones grew old also which later on they’re going to leave this mortal world. Which is I’m afraid of.
